Beyond his Billboard hits, Shaboozey has revealed an unexpected talent—writing romance novels. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the artist shared that he once ventured into the world of fiction, drafting a romance novel as a teenager.

“I started writing a romance novel when I was around 18,” Shaboozey, now 29, explained. “I still have it on my phone.” The story follows an art thief and an art enthusiast who share a complex connection. “They meet later in life under the pretense of art,” he revealed. The concept hints at themes of intrigue and forbidden romance, with a heavy dose of mystery.

Despite his enthusiasm, Shaboozey admitted that finishing a book is no small feat. He managed to reach about 300 pages but eventually set the project aside. “It felt like I needed 400 more pages to finish,” he confessed. Lacking an outline, he dove straight into writing, which ultimately proved a challenge.

Interestingly, though he began this novel, Shaboozey admitted he’s “never actually read a romance novel.” Could this be a future passion project waiting to be completed? Only time will tell.
